Great food
Can't find friendlier staff, amazing deserts and breakfast. They mostly serve classic English fare like pastys, roast beef with yorkshire pudding, but also have some delicious sandwiches, and cakes. Location is across the street from a theatre so it's an ideal spot to have a bite and a drink before or after a show. Also did I mention the building used to be a post office? Very cool space. If you're passing by stop in and get a snack.
Lola's is all that I love: delicious home-made food, lovely old-fashioned decor with a fantastic schooner chandelier and intricate woodwork, and the owner herself, young Lola's grand-mother, who moved from Britain many years ago. My dining partner and I had the Lemon Bar and Chocolate Ganache cakes and green tea - both delicious! The lemon cake had the nice tang of grated peel and the dark chocolate on top of the chocolate cake created wonderful tastes that were not too sweet. We will definitely be back to try more!
