Only giving this 2 stars. A little mix up with our reservations. 4 adults shared large nice room 38 steps up on top floor. Place is very clean but creepy. Didn't seem like they were very organized to serve breakfast. No mugs. No toast and slow to serve food. Wasn't what we expected and I'm glad it off our bucket list.
An older style house, well cared for and maintaned for the most part. Because its an older conatruction there are a few crooked nooks and unlevel floors. Our bathroom was very clean but what seemed like a modern and recent shower upgrade was a bit cheap and out of place withbthe rest of the house. Cheap feeling plastic panels that were not firmly attachef to the walls and it felt like you might fall through the floor as you moved around the shower and it creaked and groaned. The shower upgraded with nice tilework would fit better with the quality and devor of the rest of the house. The owner was pleasant and we felt taken care of while there. Overall we were satified with our stay and woyld likely return if we revisited the area.
Staff were amazing. Very friendly. Inn was gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious. Only complaint was that the bed was uncomfortable. It'd be fine for one person but the bed bounced everytime my husband rolled over and it kept waking me up.
This beautiful orginal piece of history is a pleasure to stay at. With beautiful rooms, with ensuite and complimentary breakfast. Within walking distance to beautiful views and restaurants. The bed is soft with the right amount of firmness for an amazing night sleep. You can spend hours walking and admiring the history and beautiful architect.
Nice inn, high on the creepy factor, weird service, but ultimately good service. Comfortable room, beautiful grounds. What a stunning old house.
